Reading Enrichment

Reading Enrichment and Development Program has been created to build print awareness, vocabulary, spelling and grammar, fluency, comprehension, writing, reading and listening skills early in every child’s life. The programme comprises of specific titles chosen according to the age group for children to enjoy the reading experience.

Ele (Environment as a Learning Element)

As the name suggests the common areas in the school are used as learning elements – staircase with printed tables, windmills around the common areas etc are one of the few examples we use in our school.

Science Lab

Science learning can be fun for children if they completely engage themselves in learning. The science lab has a rich set of resources (lab equipment, models, charts, specimen, and simple takeaway ‘Do-It-Yourself’ kits). Students are allowed to perform activities through Discover Learning Modules and explore science concepts.

Math Laboratory

Math learning is very vital, especially because most children find it to be a challenge, if not taught properly. Hence, Math lab has been set up with a huge repository of Math Manipulative to build Concepts in Mathematics.

Computer Laboratory

Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is an integral part of Surya Global School curriculum. We have a well equipped computer lab with well-qualified and efficient faculty.

Yoga

The Indian form of physical and mental exercise has taken the world by storm. It has been introduced into regular schooling programme to achieve a high level of performance coupled with stress annihilation. The term “‘yoga” often denotes a modern form of Hatha Yoga, which includes the physical practice of postures called asanas, to enhance mental capacity.

Sports

Our Sports Programme coordinators work with schools to implement a best-in-class Physical Education & Sports programme. The programme is designed to offer the same rigour in sports and physical education as in academics. This ensures the children learn holistically through physical activity and sports in addition to helping children improve their health and fitness levels dramatically.

Digital Boards

Children are endowed with Multiple Intelligences, hence it is inevitable that they experience the learning through audio-visual teaching aids. All the classrooms are digitally enabled with a huge repository of digital content in the form of videos, PPTs, worksheets, audio files, to enrich the classroom learning.

Field Trips

Outbound trips to different places like Planetarium, Butterfly Park, Rain-water Harvesting Park, Bannerghatta Biological Park form a very important part of a student-centric learning system. Student engagement in these trips help them build a connection between concepts learnt and the practical world around them.

Visual and Performing Arts

All-round development depends upon the child’s ability to enjoy and excel in fields beyond academics. Theatre, Music, Dance and Drama programmes form an important part of the creative aspect of co-scholastic learning and help build a confident personality.
